Vedic Astrology – Jyotish, literally means the ‘Science of light’. It is the Light of God.

Vedic astrology, also known as Jyotish Shastra, is a time-honored system of astrology that has its roots in ancient India. It is based on a deep understanding of the movements and positions of celestial bodies such as planets, stars, and the moon, and how these cosmic influences are believed to impact human life and destiny. Jyotish operates on the premise that the positions of these celestial entities at the time of your birth can reveal valuable insights into various aspects of your life’s journey.

In Jyotish, a birth chart, or “kundali” in Sanskrit, plays a central role. This chart is created by mapping the precise positions of celestial objects at the moment of your birth, including the sun, moon, planets, and specific constellations. The kundali is then used to interpret and analyze various facets of your life, such as your personality traits, career prospects, relationships, health, and even future events.

What sets Jyotish apart from Western astrology, is that Jyotish, uses the sidereal zodiac, and unique calculations, principles, and emphasis on the lunar zodiac system. The lunar zodiac, known as the “Nakshatras,” divides the zodiac into 27 segments based on the moon’s position, providing a more nuanced and detailed perspective on your life’s path.

Before scheduling your appointment, make sure you have located your birth time, through a birth certificate or birth announcement. If you do not have your time of birth, we can still use an approximate time, but we may have to use part of our time together to rectify your birth chart.
