I’m excited to announce that Chandra Ayurveda Panchakarma Clinic has been open for 11 days and thriving in the city of Sarasota, Florida!
The process of getting my small clinic up and running was one of the toughest things I have attempted, and a lot of sweat equity went into bringing my vision of what I wanted this space to look like into physical reality. But after 3 months of daily hard work, Chandra Ayurveda opened its doors to the public on March 1, 2020!
This post is not just an announcement of the opening of my Ayurvedic clinic though. As I mentioned in the subject line above, I want to share with you three key indicators of a strong immune system. If any one of these are compromised, your immune system is also compromised and you’re more at risk.
Check in with your mind/body to determine if your immune system is strong and resilient. Here are 3 indicators that your immune system may be at risk:
1. Optimal digestion is key! If you’re digestion is not working properly and you’re experiencing any symptoms such as acid reflux, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, excess gas, sleepiness after eating, abdominal discomfort with food or after eating, etc, then this is the first indicator that your immune system may be at risk.
2. Sattvic mind. If your mind is not at peace, neither is your immune system – simple as that.
3. Do you wake up in the morning full of energy and vitality, excited about your day ahead? If not, your energy reserves may be low which means your immune system will also be compromised.
According to Ayurveda, all three of these indicators mentioned above, are key in determining how well your immune system is functioning and how resilient you are to stressors in life, whether these stressors are actual physical bacteria & viruses, or actual mental stress due to life events.
So how do you go about reversing and healing these imbalances? This is where a good Ayurvedic practioner comes in to determine your own unique constitution and your imbalances, and works with you to create a custom plan to bring you back into balance and homeostasis so that your ‘OJAS’, or immunity, is optimal.
I could give you many tips such as take Shilajit everyday, or drink ginger / turmeric tea daily, and practice meditation, etc. But not every single piece of advice works for everyone. Ayurveda is truly a system where each individual is treated uniquely and I wouldn’t do the science justice to simply list a generic list.
That being said, I do recommend that on a general level you eat for your constitution, and in season.
That you exercise daily.
Use Nasya oil everyday (this is definitely a must in protecting your sinuses….I love the ones I created for each dosha and you can order them by clicking (HERE).
Drink Tulsi tea if you feel congested.
Drink freshly grated ginger and turmeric tea.
Drink Cumin, Coriander, Fennel tea with some freshly ground ginger before your meal if you tend towards gas or bloating.
Get plenty of rest, at least 7 hours of sleep every night.
Practice Pranayam daily.
Practice self abhyanga everyday.
Meditate, chant, or listen to mantra everyday to calm the mind and increase your vibration.
And finally, if you are ready to boost your immune system and REALLY feel good, just reach out and schedule a consultation. You can either schedule a consultation with me by visiting my website (here), reply to this blog, or simply call the number on my website. I can see you in person, or long distance using video conferencing.
I am currently taking new clients, and during my Grand Opening month of March, all my Ayurvedic treatments including my consultations are 30% off, so this is a great opportunity to reach out and schedule a treatment or consultation.
To your Health and Vitality!
Namaste,
Annette
