Treat yourself to a Spa experience anytime this winter – no appointment or travel time required.
The best thing you can do for yourself, is to be a bit selfish, and to take a time out for a Spa day right there in the comfort of your own home (not to mention you’ll save a ton of money)!
First, set the mood
Slip into a cozy robe, turn on some relaxing music, light a few candles and prepare an herbal elixir or spa water to sip on.
Clean and Fresh
Cleansing removes dirt, oil and makeup to give your skin a ‘clean slate’. This allows all of other products to penetrate optimally into the deeper layers of the skin. Start by rinsing your face with lukewarm water. Then using your middle and ring fingers, apply cleanser in circular motions. rinse with lukewarm water and gently pat your skin dry with a washcloth.
Exfoliate and Glow
A good exfoliation routine removes dead skin cells and prepares your skin for hydrating and cleansing masks and nourishing oils. Using your fingers, gently rub a facial polish in small circular motions all over your face. Make sure you focus on areas around your nose and forehead. If certain areas of your face are oilier than others, give those section an extra scrub.
