Anti-microbial tea to the rescue!

Summer is always a time of increased activity – we’re either going out more, traveling more, staying up later, and well, having more fun I suppose.  Our bodies can get run down and you might feel that scratchiness in the back of your throughout, a runny or stuffy nose, or maybe you are beginning to feel run down because your immune system is trying to fight off those nasty bugs.

I have attached a recipe for an awesome medicinal tea you can make to boost your immune system.  This tea provides much needed Vitamin C, it’s also an antioxidant, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, helps with allergies and congestion, and boosts digestion.

What you will need:

  • Juice from one lemon
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • 1 Tbs raw honey (or substitute with stevia if you’re watching your sugar)
  • 1tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp bee polen (optional)

Put all ingredients in a large cup or mason jar.  Pour 2 cups of boiled water in your cup/mason jar, let it steep for about 10-15 minutes and slowly sip.

You can also boost your immune fighting abilities by adding adding  Vitamin C & Zinc supplement to your daily routine as well until you start feeling better.
